Your Hornets gear might be worth something someday. New logo & new name for New Orleans…
New Orleans’ NBA team will be dropping the Hornets, founded in ’88 in Charlotte, from their name. Instead the the team has chosen a much more suitable, Pelicans as their new name. The city has re-designed the logo to match Louisiana’s official state bird – which also appears on the flag and state seal. Expect New Orleans Pelicans’ attire to hit stores at the start of next season.
