adidas’ high-end yet eco-friendly label takes a leap into the future – while taking with them some retro aspects – in their spring/summer 2013 sneaker collection.
The collection opens with the elasticized AR-10 sneakers, offered in two colorways: black and beige & navy. The silhouette resembles a retro-style trainer reminiscent of today’s Saucony sneakers – without the ripple sole.
The two high-top sneakers are the Base and the Textile High Top. While the Textile Hi has a familiar look with black leather uppers and canvas panel with moc toe, the Base doesn’t resemble anything currently available on the market. As a matter of fact, the only detail that resembles an adidas shoe is the ‘feet you wear’ heel – popular in the late ’90s on adidas’ athletic sneakers.
The last shoe in the collection is a tri-colored slip on dubbed the Colorblock Slip On. This is a perforated, moc toe, canvas/leather mix shoe that’s summer ready.
The entire SLVR collection is refreshingly different. We can’t wait to see what they’ll come out with next.
