Not sure if a pair of Red Wing boots was used for inspiration, but the Armiger KNGR-Folk is the most wearable and normal looking boot from the visvim collection.
Most of the time you’ll see an over the top boot with ethnic print and an unusual silhouette, and know off the bat it’s a visvim creation. The Armiger KNGR-Folk offers three-lace hooks, similar to those seen on Wolverine boots, with a white contrasting sole, moc-toe and silhouette of a Red Wing. visvim did provide a split moc-toe (slightly more rare) but the final product looks like it was heavily inspired by Red Wing.
It’s nice to finally see visvim produce something that appeals to the masses, however it’ll be interesting to see if people will spend $700 for something they can get for a fraction of the cost. Not to take anything from visvim, the boot does look very nice.
