When we first saw this we immediately thought, ‘Oh cool, a customizable carrying case for your shoes’. This is actually a product from the British-based bio-mechanical footwear company, fitflop – and it is, in fact, a shoe. The weird product goes by the name of ‘zipflop’ and was designed by London designer, Ron Arad.
Features
Once zipped, the shoe creates a leather silhouette. The zipper creates the possibility of personalization with multiple colors. The ergonomically designed midsole provides shock absorption in the heel and has been reported to enhance muscle loading while aiding relief from heel spurs, back pain, osteoarthritis and restless leg syndrome (assuming that’s even a real syndrome – we’re not convinced).
