2013 is proving to be very giving for suede fans. Vans California has added 5 new sneakers in suede for their 2013 collection: three pairs of the Era 59 CA and two of the Mid Skool ’77 CA. The Era 59 CA is available in Cendre Blue, Duffle Bag & Rubber while the Mid Skool ’77 CA is available in Bone Brown and Niagara.

This Vans Authentic is the world’s first skate shoe and they have just been released in suede. The Vans Authentic Suede offers the classic silhouette in rich suede uppers and brass eyelets + contrast trim. The sneaker is available in two colorways: Navy & Burgundy. With spring 2013 approaching, Vans has decided to release the mythical Old Skool OG in the same silhouette, colors and details as the 1978 original. The Vans Old Skool OG was created as an alternative to skate and BMX culture in the late 70’s and has been eagerly sought after ever since. Vans California collection will open up the vault in the next few weeks and re-release this classic piece.

The Guitar Strap Chukka Decon was inspired by footwear worn by British Soldiers in the North African desert in WWII. The shoe is reworked in Vans CA fashion to provide the wearer with a comfortable and minimal 3-eye style. While the shoe as a whole has a historically military influence, the back heel tab was inspired by the 1960’s flower children’s guitar straps. It’s available in two colorways.

A limited edition Vans Vault x Taka Hayashi collaboration has arrived today. They’re called the Sierra Dune LX, a premium full grain leather + ripple/shark sole boot. This is a high-end boot from the California x Japan collaboration. It’s a little pricy but the quality is unmatched.

Vans has collaborated with Taka Hayashi to produce a shoe that’s inspired by the classic military paratrooper boot design. This one features Horween leather uppers, metal eyelets and a Vibram contrast sole. This one will be available in several colors in the first months of the new year.

Those little mini-holes are called perforations, and they’re all over the uppers of the Vans OTW Perf Lasdun. This is a very nice spring/summer sneaker.
